Yellow Lab

The "Yellow" Lab has been bred to be lighter in color than standard Labrador Retrievers. The yellow color, actually more "golden" began to gain popularity in the early 1900’s, and by the middle of the 20th century, people began to prefer lighter and lighter shades of yellow. Until this point, almost all Labradors were black.
